Brocade is a class of richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, often made in colored silks and sometimes with gold and silver threads. This fabric is 50% silk plus 50% cotton silk, 100% all natural fabric.Rich in color and soft to the touch.

Care instructions: we suggest to do hand-washing, always use cool water and a mild detergent. Never scrub vigorously, wring or twist the garment. Extra care should be taken when laundering the fabric to prevent snagging and to protect the long floating threads that form the design and give brocade its finish from breakage.

Washing Instructions

To preserve the delicate texture and intricate patterns of our Brocade and Jacquard fabrics, please follow these care guidelines:

  • Hand Wash Recommended: We strongly recommend hand washing most of our fabrics in cold or lukewarm water to maintain their original luster and structure.
  • Machine Wash with Care: If you prefer machine washing, please place the fabric in a laundry mesh bag to prevent snagging. Use a mild, neutral detergent and select the Gentle/Delicate cycle.
  • Special Fabrics Warning: Please note that certain specialized fabrics (such as those with metallic threads or electronic components) are not washable and should be spot cleaned or professionally dry cleaned only.
  • Drying & Ironing: Do not wring or twist. Lay flat to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight. If ironing is needed, use a low heat setting and iron on the reverse side.
